Solemn CommunionSOLUMN COMMUNION CLASSES
WHAT: Classes to provide children with a meaningful understanding of the Sacrament of Holy Communion- what, how, and why.
WHO: Children in Grades 1st- 5th. This is also an opportunity for those who attended in past years to repeat the classes.
WHEN: Sundays in Lent: 2/26, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25 (maybe)
TIME: Participants will be welcomed by Lillian Richards and another Catechist between 8:45-9:00. The door will be closed at 9:00 sharp and late arrivals will attend their regular Atrium. Participants will go to the worship service with Mrs. Richards and rejoin their parents at the altar rail during Communion.
WHERE: Children’s Library, upstairs adjacent to the Atria.
1) The registration form will be available next Wed., 1/18.
2) Please plan on having your child attend all the sessions. We understand that circumstances do occur and will be considered in determining whether or not your child will participate in the procession and communion on April 29. Fr. Murdock will make the final decision in these cases.
3) The culmination of the classes will be taking part in a special procession and receiving Communion during the April 29 worship service at 10:30. Details regarding their participation will be presented closer to this date.
